Hello DBC!!!

It's been a while since we've been active on the blogging of fabulous boots of dikes! I know we've all had a very busy summer!

 

DBC memeber Mckerenan has been working long nights and late hours with the launch of the Utility website (any DB's on there yet)? They are up and running now! 

We all know where DBC member Jackie has been! Livin' it up in the NYC! Not sure if she's had her mom make the much needed shipment of boots to her door but not to fret I'm sure she's representing us loud and proud! 

DBC member Tuh-reesa has been going to Stevie Wonder concerts and spotting the celebritites! Any DB's on Blake Lively... xoxo?

As we all know what's been going on with me! Getting ready to make the big move to the pacific north west! 

Well ladies this email is being sent to you all as a inspiration to get our blog started again! Now that we all be split up I would love the blog to help us stay more connected! We were doing really good for awhile... I know life happens and we get busy. I'll be the first to admit that! So with all that said let's try to blog somemore. If you wanna branch out and just share a funny story then blog it! I'm gonna try my best!

Good morning ladies!

I would just like to say what a great job everyone has been doing with the blog! I couldn't be more proud of our crew!

In other news:
I would like to give DBC member McKernan a round of applause for being such a good little dike blogger this month! I fully nominate you for our most "active dike" member!!

DBC member Jackie has come up with a brilliant idea for DBC jean vest which I fully support! Maybe we can work on getting some rainbow and boot patches?

And last but not least DBC member Tuh-Ressa. Good eye on all the celebrity dike boots, and of course for creating our awesome page!

Summer is fast approaching ladies! Let's keep the DB'ing up!!

D.I.Y.D.V!

Now ladies, the time has come for us to select an official D.B.C vest. I'm thinking this can be an interesting D.I.Y project. LOVE at first DIKE!!!

I was working on set today when I sought out this awesome find worn by the medic Dawn. Listen up ladies I almost had a BOOT-gasim after every response!

Me: "WOW! Are those DOC's"?

Dawn: "Yeah they are I just bought them for this shoot... they're waterproof".

Me: WHAT! Are you serious? Can I feel them? They don't look waterproof"?

As Dawn tuns I see they they have a ZIPPER up that back (not pictured) and also a BUCKLE!

Me: "Those are really cute! Do you mind me asking how much"?

Dawn: "They were originally $160 but I got them for $103 on this website called shoemall.com".

Take note of that ladies!

Me: "Hey Dawn what size do you wear"?

Dawn: "6".

Me: "Kinda of a weird question but do you mind if I try them on"?

Are Those Things Battery Operated?

I'm referring to what Jackie was asked today by the infamous Rocky at work about her super cute, super bright, super shiny leggings.  Just so happens that she paired them with her 14-holed dike-a-licious beauties which I'm totally digging!  And yeah I happened to be dikin' it up today as well so I hopped in the photo. Some might argue that the dike boot crew playing bunco sounds like an oxymoron but people let's not forget that bunco = rolling dice + gambling + the occasional frosty alcoholic beverage (if hosted at the Pilon residence). Makes sense now huh?

I was thinking out loud the other day when I said "Ohhhhhkaaaay I'm done with winter.  This shit's way too cold for me.  I cannot WAIT for summer!" (anyone who knows me, knows that one of my favorite activities is to be poolside soaking up the sun with a good book in the dead of summer), when fellow DBC member Jackie said "Not me".  "Why not?!!" I said shocked since Jackie is usually is right next to me when I'm poolside.  "Can't wear our dike boots" she said.  Hmmm good point Little J.  I suggested we might still be able to wear them on summer nights.  But this was still not a fix for the daytime.  So ladies, get ready to rock the dike with shorts and skirts minus the tights.  Not gonna lie, I've been a bit reluctant since i just don't know if I can pull it off.  Then I stumbled upon this photo of this young lady that makes me excited to try.  She's got some killer legs though so Fitness Boot Camp here I come!

p.s. I do LLLLOVE these brown boots. If anyone finds them for purchase, let me know asap!  I have no idea what brand they are though.  Might be tough.  But I love me a challenge...

DBC...A Tricky Acronym?

So my co-worker Rocky overheard me talk about the DBC and he asked "what does DBC stand for?"  I gave him the first two words and asked him to guess the rest thinking he would easily come to him. He looked very puzzled. So I told him "the third word sort of rhymes with boot".  He responds, "dike....boot....cunts?" Rather than be offended, I just laughed my ass off.  Wow.

So I go to meet my parent's at Souplantation and I'm told everyone about the newsletter and of course they're all cracking up. My mom finds it hilarious so we come home and I'm giving Kilo his medicine and my mom is turning on the T.V and this is what she says:

Mom: (whispers in audible) 

ME: "What did you just say'?

Mom: I'm gonna go to the closet and check out my boots"... (still says this under her breath while looking at the T.V)

ME: "NO WAY! We have a age limit"! 

Mom: "I'm gonna go call Chrissy (lisa mom)".

DBC Dedication

Good Morning DBC ladies!

 

    As President Pilon mentioned I have recently purchased a pair of beige Troopa boots. I received them last night and was so excited to debut them this morning. However, I was a little bummed out I could not check out my final outfit since I had to get ready at the Pilon residence with out a full length mirror. Upon arriving on campus, after a 3 mile run this morning, I purposely walked an extra 1/2 mile with my heavy book bag to a restroom with a full lenght mirror. I was then satisfied with the out come. I LOVE my new beige Troopas!
